Became interested in technology in the late 80s while taking college courses majoring in Business Administration. One of the required courses was introduction to computers where I was first introduced to databases (dBase), spreadsheets (Lotus 1-2-3), word processors (WordStar), and programming (BASIC). I became enamored with anything having to do with microcomputers and quickly changed my major to Computer Information Systems.

My heart is in programming but I wear many hats ranging from troubleshooting hardware, connecting devices, administering networks, administering databases, creating and maintaining websites, to developing software programs for the standalone computer as well as for the enterprise. My current job title is ‘Applications Programmer’ where I spend most of my time creating reports (SSRS and BIRT) and not much programming – not as much as I’d like.
