Below is a second post in a series written by Gangplank HQ and Gangplank Tucson to address topics raised during the Gamestorming event. Also refer to Gamestorming Reflections.

Funding a Gangplank

The original Gangplank grew out of extra space in Integrum’s office. Since then, Gangplank HQ’s ability to grow was the result of a sluggish real estate market, allowing us to maintain the same rent while increasing our square footage.

Our recent expansion into 15,000 square feet is a result of our partnership with the City of Chandler. Gangplank HQ believes strongly in working with and supporting the local community, resulting in years of social capital invested in the local economy and leadership. Continue reading

Gamestorming Reflections

Things are moving quickly at Gangplank Tucson. Last week we had our first event, based on the Dave Gray book, ‘Gamestorming‘. Utilizing these exercises was a creative way for us to bring out future participant’s ideas about what Gangplank Tucson should be. Andrew Lenards kindly led the event, to a much larger than expected group!

The first game, ‘Help me Understand, turned into a rapid fire Q&A session due to the size of the group, with Jacki and Scott winging the answers as best we could. Fortunately, the Gangplank HQ crew has filled in the blanks where we couldn’t, creating a strong foundation on which to build the Gangplank Tucson space. Continue reading
