You’ve built the slickest site around. Can your user tell?
Today’s website is doing more on the back end before 8am than most people do all day but, sadly, the front end can put those same folks to sleep OR even scare them away.
You dont have to be a designer to understand the basics of design and the most well-built websites can suffer from the need of a makeover.
Know what fits you!
Know what fits your user!
Know the rules (Yes there are rules)!
The existing Tucson .NET User Group web site (tucsondotnet.org) is going to be replaced with a new simpler version.
In this meeting we’ll look at what’s been done so far to create the new version from scratch using visual studio and sql server.
After some discussion on goals, we’ll create a database and some tables in SQL server and then we’ll create and update a web site, and then we’ll tie the two together to display information on meetings, sponsors, and other related information that we’ll store in the database.
This is an introductory topic and the hope is that it will help you to get started with your own simple web sites.
